Are you getting this message: Error initialising US Addressing national database?
1) Most common
Sometimes the addressing update will not successfully overwrite files because IIS or SQL have the DLL or data files locked in memory.
We would suggest trying to rerun the addressing installer a 2nd time, or a more aggressive move would be to uninstall the US addressing data, restart IIS if applicable, then reinstall the addressing data right after, that seems to provide the most success.
2) Less likely , but double check the version you installed was the latest live version here - sometimes clients don't clean up older data-set downloads and grab the wrong one by accident. Or perhaps an older link from an older email led to an older dataset, the dataset link will change every other month.
The latest live version can be found here.
3) This error normally shows up along with Exit code from Addressing module was 1
Exit code from Addressing module was 1 can sometimes go back to a permissions error, if it (the matchIT SQL Service) is running under the context of another user that doesn't have access to the ACMdata folder or the instance its trying to connect to. although the ' Error initialising US Addressing national database ' is most likely to do with the dataset install.
Try adjusting the permissions of the AddressIT_Data folder to give access to the user that the process and/or the matchIT SQL service/findIT S2 addressing app pool is running as.
*This will be undone if you uninstall as mentioned in step one, but a quick workaround would be to just add a dummy text document in the C:\AddressIT_Data\ACMDATA folder, then the folder won't be removed during uninstall.
